Complaints Management

In many cases, organisations view the management of complaints as an unpalatable task. The fact is, complaints are opportunities for an organisation to become aware of issues that have the potential for ongoing undesirable impacts and outcomes. Complaints can provide a wealth of information that may assist in the ongoing process of continuous improvement of services and products.

Prompt and appropriate responses to complaints from staff and customers alike will actually enhance your organisation’s reputation rather than diminish it.

INVision can assist in developing a complaints management system tailored to your organisation's needs.

Mediation

Workplace mediation - Everyone wins!

Mediation offers a strategy for the management of workplace disputes which eliminates the possibility of distraction, disruption and financial and emotional cost.  Our experienced mediator offers a professional mediation facilitation service, which allows conflict that has the potential to adversely affect productivity, working relationships and morale to be resolved efficiently and quickly.

Workplace Mediation is a process by which a neutral third party assists people in conflict negotiate a mutually acceptable agreement. The parties to the mediation contribute to and control the outcome. A mediator facilitates communication, promotes understanding, assists the parties to identify their needs and interests, and enables the parties to reach their own agreement.

What are the advantages to Mediation?

  • Efficient - The mediation process can usually settle a dispute within two weeks from initiating the process.
  • Effective - Statistically, mediation settles over 85% of initiated disputes.
  • Affordable - Mediation costs considerably less than formal litigation. In fact, "Unmanaged conflict is the largest reducible cost in organisations today, and the least recognized." — Dan Dana (1988 - 2007).
  • Informal - The process is informal and flexible and the mediator will travel to a venue suitable to you.
  • Empowering - Disputing parties are directly engaged in the negotiation of their settlement.
  • Confidential - Information disclosed during mediation remains confidential.

How it works:

Our mediator meets with both parties to establish an understanding of the issues, then arranges a formal meeting with both parties to discuss the issues in dispute in a neutral environment. The mediator facilitates open communication, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to explain their position in a safe, structured forum.  It does not seek to fix blame or prove who is good or bad, but affirms the integrity and respect of all participants. Participants are encouraged to bring their supporters. An agreement (including a follow-up plan) created by the participants that is mutually acceptable to both parties is signed, and the mediator guides this process.
